Celebrate Recovery is for anyone with a hurt, habit, or hang-up. There isn’t a person alive who can't claim at least one of those! We've all been hurt and we've all hurt others. We're all recovering from something! Recovery issues vary. Grief, loss, abandonment, anger, fear, anxiety, depression, alcohol, drugs, prescription drug abuse, eating disorders, cigarettes, divorce, co-dependency, sexual abuse and addictions, financial recovery…the list is endless!

8 Principle of Recovery

R

Principle 1
Realize I'm not God; I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and my life is unmanageable.
"Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor"

E

Principle 2
Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to him, and that he has the power to help me recover.
"Happy are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted"

C

Principle 3
Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ's care and control.
"Happy are the meek"

O

Principle 4
Openly examine and confess my faults to God, to myself, and to another person whom I trust.
"Happy are the pure in heart"

V

Principle 5
Voluntarily submit to any and all changes God wants to make in my life.
"Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires"

E

Principle 6
Evaluate all my relationships; Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I've done to others when possible, without expecting any reward.
"Happy are the merciful" "Happy are the peacemakers"

R

Principle 7
Reserve a daily time with God for prayer, Bible reading, and self-examination in order to know God and his will for my life and to gain the power to follow his will.

Y

Principle 8
Yield myself to be used by God to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words.
"Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires"

Monday Night Large Group Worship

Celebrate Recovery's Monday Night Celebration is a time to celebrate all the great things God is doing in our lives. We have a time for fellowship, worship, small group sharing*, coffee and desserts afterwards.

*Share groups meet every Monday night at 7:30. This is a great opportunity to meet with other men or women and share real life issues.

BIRTHDAY & CHIP NIGHT

On the last Monday night of each month, Christ-followers at Grace Community gather to support and encourage one another along the road to spiritual recovery. We come to celebrate a day, a month, or perhaps a year of growth. Commemorative coins known as “chips” are given to those applying the principles of recovery into their lives. If you have never visited CR, ‘Birthday Nights’ are a special opportunity to support the growth of other believers and learn more about God’s unique ability to transform hearts, minds, and lives.

Birthday Night Schedule
6:00pm Dinner
6:30pm Worship
7:30pm Share Groups
8:30pm Coffee and Desserts

Step Study Groups

Men's and Women's step study groups are held through out the week. They are true life application bible studies where we learn to apply what the bible says to our life and are held accountable by others in our group.

Group Guidelines

Both recovery meeting formats hold to a strict code of confidentiality and respect for all participants. There are 5 structured guidelines that keep the environment safe and conductive to honest sharing. These guidelines are reviewed before each meeting to keep them fresh and at work within the group.

  1. Keep your sharing focused on your own thoughts and feelings. Please limit your sharing to 3-5 minutes.

  2. There will be no cross talk, please. Cross talk is when 2 individuals engage in a dialogue, excluding all others. Each person is free to express feelings without interruption.

  3. We are hear to support one another. We ill not attempt to "fix" another.

  4. Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirements. What is heard in the group stays in the group!

  5. Offensive language has no place in a Christ-centered group
