YOUTH STAFFERS

INSANITY CONTROL COORDINATOR:

Hey...my name is Greg! I'm the Student Pastor...whatever that means! I'm from Alabama - Roll Tide - but I'm loving it here in Arkansas. My wife, Helen, and I moved here in August of 2008. Being here at Grace is just awesome! I like to have fun and build relationships with people...I love hearing other people's story. Stories are where life happens! If you want to know my story then just ask...it's a pretty long one so be ready! In the forever immortal words of Emily Hunter via Keaton Dye, Junior Theologist, "hang with good people"! I think Jesus probably smiled just now...

THE INCREDIBLE EXPANDING WOMAN:

Hi...My name is Helen. I'm married to Greg. Megan Olivia currently lives in my expandable pouch...but not like a marsupial. She'll be moving out soon! In fact she has moved out but we like to pretend that my make believe pouch is her new favorite hiding place. I grew up in Alabama but God said to go to Arkansas and now I am blessed beyond measure to be here at Grace. We have wonderful kids and a super duper staff who all love God and each other. Oh...and by the way, ROLL TIDE - National Champions! Sorry, I couldn't help myself!

MINISTER OF FUNNY SAYINGS:

Ryan Curtis likes Catie (his wife).  Well, Ryan loves his wife!  Catie is the harmony in the song of life that God is composing for Ryan.  God really loves Ryan, and Ryan, after receiving that beautiful love, loves God recklessly and fervently.  Ryan receives God’s love by enjoying frisbee, homestarrunner, swimming, reading, hiking, theater, dogs, Psych, friends, food, rollerblading, and teaching 9th grade Algebra.  He was born in a place but now lives here.

General Manager of Goofiness:

My full name is Catrina, but everyone knows me as That Crazy Girl Who Helps Out With Youth and Probably Shouldn't Be As Old As She Is Because She Acts Like a 13-Year-Old.  Or Catie.  I admire Peter Pan, because I too never want to grow up, but sometimes grown up things are okay.  I pretty much just come to youth to mess with Greg, laugh at my husband (Minister of Funny Sayings, whom God has blessed me with in out-of-this-world quantities), and talk nonsense with anyone who is willing to listen.  Oh, and I think the kids there are amazing, talented, and I really like hanging out with them.  And I love Jesus.  A lot.  Because He loves me.  Even more.  I'm also on staff at Grace and I teach acting classes!

GSM GRANDPARENTS:

Howdy ,

We are so excited to be a part of Grace Student Ministries !!!!!!!!!  This is our ninth year in Grace Youth. As the "old and wise grandparental figures" in the youth staff, we have had the pleasure of watching these great kids grow in so many ways !!!!  Having raised two sons, teaching in public school over 22 years (JACKIE),  Boy Scout leader for 15 years (KEN), we have seen a lot........It has been a Blast (at least most of the time). We are always amazed at how each year the kids can be so similar, and yet so different. Summer Camp at Discovery Ministries (our seventh year) has been so much Fun. We really see the students grow in their personal lives, and all in one week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Outdoors, no TV, no cell phone, no computer, no parents, (for parents, that means no kid) just lots of FUN !

To the Students: Thanks for letting us be a part of your life !

To the Parents:  Thanks for letting us be a part of their life !

KEEPER OF USEFUL KNOWLEDGE:

I am Sam's mom and Alex and Tony's Cousin/Aunt.  I have been married to my wonderful husband, Jack, for 21 years. I love all things outdoors - camping, hiking, water skiing, canoeing, horse riding, etc. We own a towing company, real estate/property management office, and an internet software business. My favorite color is blue. My favorite song is “Talk about it” by Nicole C Mullen. She sings, "Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So...Talk about it!...which is what we are called to do. We should let everyone we know and meet hear what God is doing in our lives today!  Talk about it!!! My favorite Movie is “Man from Snowy River” (a great horsey flick!). I love hanging out with the kids at youth and witnessing their spiritual growth. I wish I was cool like GREG!!!, but  I'm just a mom.
