Ever wonder how Food Network and DIY shoot their shows? Join Grace's Tech Team and find out! We will be producing our own version of a on location program this fall. Contact Jon for more details!
Grace has one of the most advanced technical teams in the region. We create dynamic worship environments through the use of video, audio, lighting, and scenic design. Some of our environments have made Technologies for Worship and Church Production Magazines. Why would we go to such lengths to build, light, and produce such extravegant environments? Becuase immersive worship is important so us. We believe the act of worship is an immersive one. Not just an act by performers or motivational speakers. Worship is something we all participate in. How better to encourage this than by allowing folks in the congregation not only to "feel" like they are taking part in what is happening in worship, but to actually "BE" taking part in what is happening around them. Bringing a modern dynamic worship environment off the stage and into the hearts and minds of those participating is not without it's challenges. We spend weeks and even months preparing the various mediums to create that environment.
"Wow?! How can I be a part of that?" Simple. Contact us between services or via email. We will invite you to participate on the team for a week or two as a shadow. Someone who simply watches how the service progress and how different people and positions aid in the worship environment. After shadowing, most folks have an idea of where they would like to serve. After that we have a number of rehearsal opportunities to develope and practice the skills necessary for the various positions. We currently have a twelve year old lighting director and several teens running cameras and directing during our services.

We get asked alot what type of technology it takes to create the environments we do.

I'm not a big fan of canvas. We also keep loads of foam for carving and sheeting. Most of that is 2lb or 2.5lb polystyrene or polyethelene. We have a small fabrication shop which we setup or store based on if we are in the middle of set construction or not.
