LIFE GROUPS

 

*****  2010 LIFE GROUPS  --  Kick-Off Week is September 12  *****

 

Grace-filled, Caring, Christ-centered groups meet weekly or every other week to snack, to catch up on what’s going on, to study and discuss some aspect of faith in life. The support provided through these groups makes the rest of the week go better!  Some of the groups are providing book studies; others center around fellowship and discussion topics of interest.  Sign-up on Sunday mornings or contact Sue@gracethechurch.com.   Continuing groups that are full are not listed.  Child-care is provided as listed. 

 

SUNDAYS

 

Blended Families face unique challenges and blessings!  This group meets every other week for a light dinner and discussion around the lessons in the book, God Breathes on Blended Families.  Never a dull moment in this group!  Led by Kathryn Lewis and Rebecca Frueh, the group will meet in Kathryn and David Lewis’ home in Fianna Hills.  Child care begins at 5:15 at the church.  Meeting time is 5:30.

 

Celebration of Discipline—The Path to Spiritual Growth is the title of this classic book that explores inward disciplines such as prayer, outward disciplines such as service, and corporate disciplines such as worship.  Spiritually enriching, this group study will be led by Catherine and Klint Leete in their home in the Riley Farms area.  The group will meet every week at 6:00 with child care beginning at 5:45 at the church.

 

DeeDee and John Autry are excited to be leading a Sunday afternoon/evening group.  Details will be forthcoming very soon.

 

MONDAYS

 

Affluenza, the popular book about how much is too much and how much is enough in America and life in general is the study focus of Jon and Jessica Gray’s Life Group.  They meet from 6-7 in the Gray’s home.  Bring the kids and join them for this enlightening study.

 

Single Moms share the many challenges of kids, work, finances, family, and still try to remain sane.  Join this group of single moms as they meet every other week, 6—7:30, in the home of Audrey Dickson in the Fianna Hills area.  Child care provided at the church.

 

Mark Hall of Casting Crowns group has written a book entitled, LifeStories: Finding God’s Voice of Truth through Everyday Life.  Just as Mark Hall has shared from his heart, Chad Martin will share from his heart as the group explores these life stories together.  Hosted by Catie and Ryan Curtis, who live near Christ the King Catholic Church, the group meets on Mondays from 6-7.  Children are welcome.

 

 

TUESDAYS

 

Mature Single Women gather every other week at 6:30 in the home of Carolyn Moore.  Becky Faldon leads the way in establishing this group as they study Max Lucado’s book, Fearless.  This study addresses many of the issues facing single women.

 

 

WEDNESDAYS

 

MOPS—Mothers of Preschoolers gather to discuss issues pertinent to parenting this age child.  Coordinators are Staci Moore and Candice Creason.  This group will meet in the StuMin, 9-11 AM, beginning 9/8.

 

Women’s Lunch Group gathers 11:30 every other week year-round to eat and enjoy each other’s company.  Just sign up and you’ll be on the e-mail list.  The only agenda item is to decide at which restaurant the next meeting will be held!

Disciple Bible Study I—An in-depth overview of the Old and New Testaments with daily readings and video and discussions weekly.  Focus is on making disciples through Bible study.  Orientation is 1/1 at 6:00.

DOING LIFE TOGETHER GROUPS are all about getting to know one another and finding a place to connect.  These groups come in a variety of offerings:  young couples, women’s, young parents, middlers, etc.

 

  

GGG’S (Grace Go Getters) enjoy pot-luck, fellowship, and games or a program once a month usually on a Thursday.  Occasionally, the group will take in a play or take a short day trip together.  To get on the notice list, send your e-mail address to sue@gracethechurch.com.
